In the beginning of January, CARE International in Lao PDR, in collaboration with the Provincial Health Department of Luang Namtha, held an Open Defecation Free ceremony in Sing District, Luang Namtha Province. This success is the result of promoting the importance of having a family toilet to prevent open defecation, which is the main cause of various diseases.
