CARE International in Lao PDR, in collaboration with the Mother and Child Hospital and the National Nutrition Centre of the Ministry of Health, is commemorating International Breastfeeding Week at the Mother and Child Hospital today. This event aims to advocate for mothers to better understand the value of breastfeeding, as well as to assist fathers in understanding the roles they play in enabling mothers. In addition, the importance of disseminating information on Breast Milk Substitute Code is away to regulate advertising and other forms of promotion of infant formula and other breast-milk substitutes as well as feeding bottles.
